1. Acceptance

By creating an account or purchasing, you agree to these Terms.

2. The service

Sōngyǐn is a self-reflection and cultural wellness tool based on classical Chinese astrology (BaZi). Readings are offered as themes, tendencies, and prompts for reflection. The service does not predict the future and is not fortune-telling. It does not provide medical, financial, legal, or relationship advice. You use it at your own discretion and keep your own judgment.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, use with a parent or guardian's involvement.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for the email address you use for magic-link sign-in and for keeping your session secure. One person, one account.

5. Subscriptions & payments

Paid products (one-time readings, monthly and yearly memberships) are processed by our Merchant of Record. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices are shown before purchase in your local currency where possible. Refunds are handled in line with our Refund Policy and the processor's terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse or overload the service; scrape or automate readings at scale; use readings to harass, defame, or discriminate; resell readings; or use the service in violation of law.

7. Intellectual property

The service, brand, chart engine, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the service and your purchased readings for personal, non-commercial reflection. You may share your own chart cards.

8. AI-generated content

Readings are generated with AI assistance on top of a deterministic chart engine and are provided for reflection only. They may contain errors. Do not rely on them for decisions about health, money, law, or relationships.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that readings are accurate, complete, or error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for abuse. You may delete your account anytime, which removes your data per the Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts. [To be updated once the HK entity is registered.]

13. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email.
